Please read carefully: These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tally AI Limited governing your use of the Tally AI Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Tally AI Limited ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in Nigeria (RC 9492510), governing your access to and use of the Tally AI financial management service ("Service").
Tally AI is an artificial intelligence-powered financial management tool delivered via WhatsApp and web platforms. The Service enables users to record and categorise income and expenses, generate financial reports, set and monitor budgets and savings goals, receive automated financial notifications, and access AI-powered financial insights.
Important: Tally AI is a financial management technology tool only. We are not a bank, payment service provider, investment adviser, insurance company, or regulated financial institution. We do not hold, manage, move, lend, or invest money on behalf of users. We are strictly a technology and data services company.
Tally AI uses artificial intelligence to process natural language, categorise transactions, and generate financial insights. AI outputs are probabilistic and may contain errors or inaccuracies. Transaction categorisation may not always reflect the true nature of a transaction. The accuracy of AI outputs depends entirely on the accuracy of data you provide.
AI-generated content, insights and analyses are for informational purposes only. You must not rely solely on AI outputs to make significant financial, investment, credit or business decisions, or treat AI-generated insights as professional financial or legal advice.
AI Accuracy Disclaimer: Tally AI's artificial intelligence systems may produce inaccurate results. The Company makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated output. Users rely on AI outputs entirely at their own risk.
Nothing in these Terms or the provision of the Service creates any fiduciary duty, advisory relationship, agency relationship, partnership or joint venture between the Company and any User. We do not act as your financial adviser, investment adviser, tax adviser, or legal adviser. We do not hold any licence to provide financial advisory services. If you require financial, investment, tax or legal advice, consult a qualified professional duly licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.
To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid WhatsApp account, have legal capacity to enter binding contracts under Nigerian law, and not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.
Your Tally AI account is created automatically when you first message us on WhatsApp or register via our web platform. Your WhatsApp phone number serves as your unique account identifier.

PRO Plan subscribers may be eligible for a 14-day free trial. No charge will be applied during the trial period. Upon expiry, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid PRO Plan unless cancelled before expiry.
In accordance with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018: if you are a new subscriber and cancel within 7 days of your first payment, you are entitled to a full refund of that payment. After the 7-day period, we do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.
You may use the Service only for lawful personal or business financial management purposes. You must not use the Service for any illegal purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service, record transactions related to illegal activities, transmit malware or malicious code, impersonate any person or entity, or resell access to the Service without our written consent.
You retain ownership of all financial data you submit. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all financial data you enter. Tally AI records what you tell it and cannot independently verify your inputs. We strongly recommend maintaining independent records of all financial transactions.
The Service, including all software, algorithms, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other content created by us, is owned by Tally AI Limited and protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our express written permission.
ALL INFORMATION, REPORTS, INSIGHTS AND SUGGESTIONS PROVIDED BY TALLY AI ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. NOTHING IN THE SERVICE CONSTITUTES FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, TAX, LEGAL OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE OF ANY KIND.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tally AI Limited, its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, any inaccurate financial data you enter, or any reliance you place on AI-generated outputs from the Service.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting [email protected] or sending "delete my account" via WhatsApp. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
Upon termination, your data will be retained for 6 months in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the NDPC GAID 2025, after which it will be permanently deleted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In the event of any dispute, the parties shall first attempt amicable resolution within 30 days. If unresolved, either party may refer the dispute to mediation at the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC). If mediation fails, the dispute shall be resolved by arbitration in Lagos in accordance with the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Data retention upon termination: your personal data will be retained for 6 months following account termination in accordance with the NDPC GAID 2025.
The Service integrates with WhatsApp (Meta), Twilio, Anthropic, Groq, and Paystack. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Data Processing Agreements are maintained with all third-party processors in accordance with applicable data protection law.
These Terms are living documents updated to reflect changes in our operations and legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you via WhatsApp message at least 14 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right shall not constitute a waiver of that right.
